Hey everyone! Here is a quick two-parter on writing with note cards. My hat goes off to Doug TenNapel (who I first heard this method from). Enjoy!

More Jesop King concept art for the Mini-Comic
Took some time out yesterday to do a quick sketch for the mini-comic. Not necessarily something that will happen in the story, but fun to experiment.

Scribbles with Jonathan - Sub-Zero Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat 9 is almost here, and the anticipation is awesome!
Throwing this out there as well. Any of you great people out there who plan on picking it up as well, if your on XBOX 360, let me know so we can play some time. Nothing like talking about comics while laying down a fatality :)

Mini-Comic Hero Design
Hey everyone!
I let you all know on the UStream show this past Monday that I would scan up the drawings we did. I did a quick colour pass over, just to break it up a little, and make it a little more interesting.
So here is the main Hero for the Mini. His name is Jesop King. I'll let you guys know more about the type of comic this is going to be once I finish up the first 3 pages (which I will post here as well).
Hope you enjoy, and I'll talk to you guys & gals soon!

First time with analog inks, and the Pentel Brush Pen!
Just a quick blog post today guys!
I showed a bunch of you on Thursday a quick sketch I was working on, with a new toy I purchased. The Pentel Brush Pen (You can check out the one I bought by clicking here). I heard so many awesome things about it, I thought that it would be a great introductory, into the world of Inking on paper.
I have a few gripes with the pen itself, mostly being a brush and not a pen I think. I am happy with the results of seeing how far something can be pushed, and I'm in love with the dry brush effects. Using this brush has me thinking of all sorts of cool and nasty comic ideas. Like a friend on Twitter told me "@artbyjar Ink bottles will start to appear in your workspace. I see dip pens in your future. -@Gonzalexx" And I think he's right!
I'll post more updates as I mess around with this thing, but here is that "test" and sketch all completed. You'll see more of this guy in my upcoming mini comic. Talk to you soon!

Scribbles with Jonathan - Scorpion Mortal Kombat
I can't remember the last time I was really jazzed about an old fighting game, being remade since Street Fighter 4. Mortal Kombat 9 is just around the corner, and I can't wait!
Found some time to mess around, and do a quick Scorpion sketch. Hope you enjoy it, and let me know if your into Mortal Kombat, and have an Xbox 360. Maybe we can play some time!

Would you be interested in instructional videos, dealing with the creation of comic books, as well as anatomy?
Hey everyone!
I plan on making another post sometime soon, dealing with a little more information to this question I'm asking you all.
In a nutshell, I've been tossing the idea around for a little over a year, of having purchasable instructional videos. These videos would cover many different topics. Ranging from anatomy, perspective, and all the way to creating comic books. I plan on making these videos available for download, over an hour at least, and under $20.
What I'm asking from you guys, is to hear some feedback! Is this something anyone would be interested in? I created a poll on the right of the blog for some voting as well.
I should note, that these videos would NOT replace the YouTube/UStream videos. These would all be an addition too those.
Thanks for your feedback and input!

Mutants & Masterminds 3rd Edition Finished Work
Hey everyone!
I wanted to make a quick blog post to go along with last nights tweet I made on Twitter (If you aren't following me, click here to do so :) ). My buddy Mark Miller sent me some screen caps of a few pictures I drew for the new Mutants & Masterminds RPG book.
I did the art for these, NOT THE COLOURS. If you know who DID do the colours, please let me know so I can give them credit. Plus I want to talk to them ha ha! I think they did a fantastic job!
I'll see if I can scrounge around for some bigger scans soon!
